This longish article is partly a critique of one by Marjorie Perloff,
and deals with some broad issues in poetics, literary theory, and criticism.
It is the third and most recent article I published in the electronic book review. The piece was on my old site, but its themes being somewhat tangential to those of Prosoidia as a whole, it didn't seem appropriate to reprint it here. For those interested, the archived ebr version is here.
